If you haven't yet figured it out on this website, THE LAST DEBUTANTE comes out 2/26. I have two big events scheduled around that release. The first is a video chat with some other historical authors who have books coming out: Madeline Hunter, Jennifer Ashley, Anne Gracie and Juliana Grey. There will be prizes! Sign up now to attend on Wednesday, 2/27 at noon EST at spreecast!
Second, I will be signing

And it all comes down to this: You write the book. You agonize over it, edit it within an inch of its life, then let your editor have a go at it and edit it all over again. You engage as many people as you can in helping to get the word out. You send postcards, make bookmarks, schedule book signings...and then you
Happy Valentine's Day! What better way to celebrate the day than to talk about romance, especially a romance novel?
A few of my friends and I got together to talk about The Last Debutante coming out February 26th. Find out about my writing process and a few other tidbits.
The month filled with New Year's resolutions, cold weather, after effects of too much holiday fun and a whole lot of newly opened gym memberships that won't be used passed March.
It's kind of depressing, don't you think? So let's celebrate our awesome January accomplishments and help each other remember our awesome accomplishments!
Part of this month I had the flu. It was nasty and horrid and I felt like crap for what seemed like forever. It hit me right after my relay half marathon and knocked
After being laid up all last week with the nasty flu bug going around, I am slowly getting back into the swing of things. Moose and I went on a run this morning - a slow run, but a run nonetheless.
As I merge back into the land of the living, I am wondering what all happened last week. Seems there were some emails I sent that I didn't remember sending. I think there were a few phone calls that are but a hazy memory right
Sunday, I ran a relay half marathon with my sister and celebrated with a fabulous, gigantic, juicy burger afterward. I went home, did a few chores and started working on a number of the projects and deadlines that I have on my to-do list when I felt that little tingle in my nose.
"It's allergies," I told myself and kept working. The tingle continued and was joined by some itchy eyes and that feeling. You know the one: kind of uncomfortable, fidgety, tired...
I still kept telling
I went to the grocery store the other night for some things and as I walked in the door, I look to my right and see the new bakery display. What do they have out? Valentine cookies. They've just finished clearing out the last remnants of Christmas and New Years and they already have Valentine's Day things out.
Ok, so they don't start as early with it as they do with Christmas, but baked
I have been giving some thought about what I want for the next year. Funny how we are so conditioned about "fresh start" dates like the new year or a Monday. I suppose it's just easier for our over-scheduled brains to handle. It fits into the order of things I suppose.
My personal goal is balance.
I am striving for balance in all things. In activity, in work, in food, in family.
Everything.
It's much harder than it looks. Rather than being a lovely even distribution in a pie
