  10. It would be like stepping back in time. The scenery itself would take my breath away!! To taste the food would be heavenly, and I still remember bits and pieces of French from years ago, when I was in school. It would be a trip of memories!! (Probe211)

  157. Going to France has been my dream for 25 years. One item on my list is to reread The Count of Monte Cristo at Chateau D’if. I would love to be able to communicate in French while there. I had 8 years of French. To be able to see the Louvre, Eiffel Tower and other historic sites. Oh my!

  158. I actually was just in Paris at the beginning of April this year, as part of a larger trip that I took to celebrate my 30th bday (London, Paris, Dublin & Iceland). Unfortunately, I lost my job 2 days before I left for Europe, so my enjoyment was dampened quite a bit. I wasn’t able to do and see many of the things I had dreamed of. I’m still job hunting, so it’ll be awhile, but I’m hopeful that someday I’ll get to go back & experience Paris – and Europe – the right way. Without, you know, freaking out the whole time about spending money. Ha. Someday…!

  159. I would love to visit Paris to experience the aura of majesty and wonder that surrounds this grande dame of cities.

  166. Hi Julia!

This may sound funny but I’ve wanted to visit Paris since I was in High School. When I was in High School not only was french required but our teacher was from France. While I could read French without a problem the one thing I never managed was to be able to speak the language!

The next year I changed classes and read Latin instead because as long as we needed to know how to read it not even the teacher had a clue to how you would speak it! I ended up not only loving to read Latin but when I went to college got a job in the Department of Plant pathology to type out anything that had Latin involved. YEAH!

The only thing is because I never learned to understand French being spoken I’ve wanted to visit there and it’s been 55 years since I graduated from High School and I still haven’t been able to make that trip to France!

I hope who ever wins your contest will have a wonderful time and someday be able to look back and realize how fortunate they were to win your contest!

PS: Please keep writing and I’ll keep reading all your wonderful stories!

  185. I would love to visit Paris because of the inspiration it would provide for creativity! From photographs of the architecture, streets, monuments, bridges, parks and the River Seine, I can see that Paris is a beautiful city. The history of Paris — from ancient settlers to modern Parisians — that I’ve read about would come alive through visiting the variety of interesting sites in the city. I could paint and draw pictures of the same views that my favourite artists did. While sitting at a cafe, I could write a poem or short story based on the actions observed from the humanity around me. I would buy and eat delicious pastries from a Patisserie. Before I left Paris for home, I would be sure to sit for a reflective time in the sanctuary of the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral. One day (I’m 50, so I hope it’s not too long from now), I will visit beautiful Paris!

  186. My Acadien partner and I have found each other after some difficult times. We are both strong romantics and could really appreciate and use a beautiful bit of Paris even if we don’t go there. <3

  195. I’ve always had a passion for art and love. Paris has both my passions in the most awe inspiring way. One of my first childhood dreams was to admire and buy art from some starving artist on the street there and later find they arrived displaying their work in the Louvre.

  196. I want to visit Paris to try different culinary dishes, eat some mouth watering desserts, and do some site seeing like the Eiffel Tower and some wineries.

  198. I would love to see the cathedral of Notre Dame but not the Eiffel Tower since I am afraid of heights!

Its reputation as the city of love is so pervasive that I once met nomads in Outer Mongolia discussing fantasy dates in Paris. 301. I have to been to Paris once and would love to return – it is on my bucket list! There are several more museums I want to visit, more gardens, more restaurants, probably an endless list! I don’t speak French, but the citizens were just as friendly as could be. I also want to take a tour on the Seine. Then I want to visit some chateaux and the Normandy Beaches. Both of my parents were in the Navy In WWII – that is how they met!

  302. I love Paris! There is just something about the city, the people and of course the food. My husband and I toasted our anniversary one year drinking champagne watching the lights flashing on the Eiffel Tower at midnight – pure magic!

  303. I went there when I was in High School and would love to go back as an adult. It was so pretty and old feeling. I think I’d appreciate it more now.

  304. I haven’t taken French since high school… but I’d love to see what I remember and put it to use.

  305. Paris has such a mixture of old and new construction that I would love to just go for long walks and forget about cell phones and laptops. I will often read books set in Paris in times of historic significance and I love that pictures of Paris are a reminder of those times. Anything Parisian makes me happy.

  306. As long as I can remember I have wished to see Paris it is the city of love and so much more I long to sit at a outdoor cafe and see all the beauty of the city.

  307. Would love to see “old world France” and all the little shops especially book stores and of course libraries!

  308. Why I’d love to visit Paris? For one it’s the city of love, so of course my husband would have to come with me. I have friends who’ve visited and I would have great tips from them on where to visit. Especially the two that lived their for awhile!

  309. Paris! I would so enjoy to visit such a storied city– but also admit that I would be intimidated by the language barrier. Alas, I speak no French and wonder how much that would hinder my enjoyment. Then I realize that it would be an adventure of a lifetime and I should stop being such a sissy. I can make myself understood enough to say important things like “chocolate!”

  310. I would love to go to Paris. I enjoy traveling in Europe, I have been to the French Rivera. But so want to visit Paris,I have read a lot of books that mention Paris and I so want to visit this romantic site one day. It is on my bucket list to visit Paris.

  315. I have wanted to visit Paris since I was in grade school. I took French in high school and was chosen as foreign exchange student to go to France for a summer but they couldn’t find a home for me. It was so disappointing. My son traveled to Europe a couple of summers ago on an internship and traveled to Paris for a day just so he could get some pictures for me and tell me about it. I am 61 but still hope to someday get a chance to go see the City of Light and try out my French.

  327. I’d love to visit Paris one day because I feel as is for a foodie and wine aficionado it’s a must visit city. The history of a city is just as important to me as well. If my friend was able to comment, she would let you know that Paris has always been in my top 5 places to visit since I was little. Thank you for the giveaway!

  328. I would love to visit Paris as a way of honoring my mom who loved the French language and culture (she took French lessons for decades and was fluent in it). Unfortunately she had a terrible fear of flying, so she would never go to Paris.

  329. It has always been my dream to find love under neath the Eiffel Tower. Love seems so much more romantic in Paris.

  330. I’ve been to Paris and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would love to go back and see places I haven’t seen yet, like Sacre Coeur, the Orsay museum and the catacombs. (mybeach52 at yahoo dot com)

    Thank you.

  342. It is one of the most romantic cities in the world (at least in my head) and I am addicted to romance.

  343. I would love to visit Paris because of my grandparents. They were one of those perfect couples. Loved each other since they were children, married in high school, inseparable and totally in love. They visited Paris together and they talked about it being their favorite place they’d ever seen. My grandfather told my grandfather they would go back but passed away from cancer a few years ago before they could return. Every year I get my grandmother a little something to lift her spirits that has to do with Paris. She always says he is waiting for her there.

  344. I would love to visit Paris for their culture . I have never been out of the country and I figured why not start with Paris 🙂 thanks for the chance to win .
