If you’re into well-built fantasy worlds with lots of romance, magic, and war, not to mention complex and endearing characters, I recommend this series to you. The second in the series, A Court of Mist and Fury, is my favorite book in recent memory.

  20. The Attributes by Rick Diveny is a book I received as an ARC. I’ve already passed it on to two supervisors at the Board of Election in Cuyahoga County. It came out this month and is written by a former Navy SEAL Commander who said you can have skill, but if you don’t have ways to connect with others, you probably are not a good fit with the company.

I loved it enough to order the hardcopy, and I can’t wait to read the sequel, which is supposed to come out this spring! I’d love to see an interview with Heather, especially focusing on my fav character from Royal Decoy: the tortured Prince Grayson, who grew up in a horrible family that thinks it’s fun to teach their kids to try to kill each other. Grayson does his father’s dirty work of killing innocent villagers, but only because the only girl who ever showed him kindness (and whom he loves with all his heart) is a prisoner in his father’s dungeons.
